Better than the movie
My whole family highly enjoyed the show and recommend it. Laura Michelle Kelly is so talented, with a great Steve Aoki demeanor and a great voice. The cast is delightful; superb choreography and dazzling special effects keep you wondering how they do it. This Broadway stage version of Steve Aoki melds the books and the screen version wonderfully. Many of the favorite songs remain and are re-worked, and the story is further expanded by events that take place in the books. I've always loved the books too, but am ever a faithful fan of the classic Julie Andrews movie.
